At the Dreamcatchers Foundation, small groups of native Dutch people and newcomers together organise a dream day for a woman with a refugee background. In a new group, the same woman then organises something for a new woman with a refugee background.
The Dream Day is a full-day programme that starts with a delicious breakfast in a special place, followed by a suitable experience and ends with a dinner with family, neighbours or friends. The afternoon activity responds to the wish of the “dream woman”.
The women are actively involved and may, after a Dreamday has been organised for them, organise a dreamday for another woman in a new team. This way, they are included in a warm social network and have the opportunity to learn more about Dutch customs and language.
This contributes the well-being and social integration of women with a refugee back ground in the Netherlands.
